What is acceptable moisture content of the subfloor for floating cork flooring?Updated 20 days ago

Requirements for concrete subfloors (after curing a minimum of 30 days for floating floor and 60 days for glue-down flooring):

-Note: a minimum 6 mil polyethylene sheet (vapor barrier) should always be applied under floating floor over below grade. The same vapor barrier is recommended for on-grade applications or over concrete poured within 90 days.

Method 1 (preferred): Less than 75% RH using in-situ probe (ASTM F2170)
Method 2 (second choice): Less than 3 lbs/1,000 sq ft/24 hrs using MVER test (ASTM F1869)
Method 3 (lowest preference): Less than 4.5% using a moisture meter.

For Wood subfloors (plywood/OSB):
6%–9% moisture content (must be within 2% of cork flooring’s moisture content)
